TRAVEL

USA / KOREA / THAILAND / JAPAN ---> Krabi International Airport (KBV)

Please Arrive By Feb 6, 2027

Bangkok has 2 airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK).
When flying from Bangkok to Krabi (where the venue is), there is 2 options:

- If you are flying directly from USA, Korea or Japan to the wedding, we recommend flying from BKK Airport to KBV Airport. When searching for flights, put your end destination as KBV.
- If you are going to travel within Bangkok/other cities in Thailand prior to the wedding, we recommend flying from the domestic airport DMK to KBV Airport (sometimes cheaper and has more flight options).

Both airports have flights to KBV approximately 1.5 hours.
Please double check with us prior to booking to confirm the correct airports.

Flights between Bangkok and Krabi International Airport include
Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Thai Air Asia, Nok Air

When arriving at Krabi (KBV) Airport, the resort van will pick you up and drive to the pier (approximately 20-40 minutes) followed by the resort boat transfer from pier to resort (approximately 15-20 minutes).
All recommended resorts can provide airport pick up/drop off with the van & boat transfer.

The Bangkok Edit

Bangkok is one of those cities where there is so much to do and never enough time to do it all. What I would recommend really depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for and how long you are staying in Bangkok.
If you want to travel to other parts of Thailand, I would recommend having at least two weeks. Thailand has so many beautiful places outside of Bangkok, but traveling between cities and islands takes time. If you are only in Thailand for a short trip, I would suggest staying in Bangkok and neighboring areas instead of trying to rush around the country.

After the wedding, we’ll be staying in Bangkok. Whether you decide to stay in Bangkok with us or explore other parts of Thailand, we’d love to help you figure out what works best for getaway vacation.

Over many years, my family and I traveled across Thailand, especially Bangkok.
Here's a quick list and their highlights of places we recommend:

ACCOMMODATIONS

Bangkok has no shortage of amazing places to stay, but the accommodations we recommend are the ones we've personally vouched for. We chose them because they're comfortable, conveniently located, and offer easy access to transportation, making it simple to explore the city. We will be staying in Adelphi Grande Sukhumvit. Let us know if you intend to stay here as well :) If you want more options, I recommend staying in these cities: Sukhumvit, Thonglor, Siam

As a Certified Travel Agent, I can help make the bookings for you and get you the VIP perks :) Message me!

- Adelphi Grande Sukhumvit
Center of Sukhumvit area; next to 4 recommended malls; 3 min walking distance to BTS air train station

- Anantara Riverside Resort
Provides hourly free ferry ride to Icon Siam across the river; great buffet dinner experience with live show;
However, most of the attractions are across the river

- Innside by Melia:
On Sukhumvit road; down the street from Adelphi Grande; amazing rooftop bar

MONEY EXCHANGE

Do not currency exchange at airport
Best rates are usually at the Malls: SuperRich
Only use undamaged bills and best rates for larger bills
Keep Baht (Thai currency) on hand.
ATM - Pay in Baht, DO NOT PAY IN USD.

TRANSPORTATION
Getting through the hustling city can be a bit much, especially during rush hour (you can be in traffic for over 3-5hours)

- BTS Skytrain: it stops at each major city and you can walk to your destination; highly recommend

- MRT: subway system

- GRAB app: download the app for transport and food delivery (similar to Uber); this way your trip is documented

- Taxi: they may ask for total price to destination; not always reliable; they can deny going to destination too;
many work as taxi and grab drivers

- Tuk tuk & motorcycle rides: not the safest way of transport but it is a check off the bucket list haha

FOODS

Most importantly...
Everywhere you look, there is always somewhere to eat. Whether in the malls or near the streets, you can definitely find unique eats on every street and corner. Unless you have a strong stomach, I recommend eating in the malls and popular places. The malls have so many restaurant and food courts. If you have any allergies, I would be cautious with street foods.
Link Below to our favorite eats in BKK. Otherwise, here are some sample areas we recommend:

- Copper Beyond Buffet
AYCE that gives a quality and luxurious dining experience up to 2.5 hours; recommend reservations
There are 2 locations; if you are staying near Sukhumvit, pick the Gaysorn Amarin area

- Oishi Eaterium
AYCE sushi/sashimi approx 24$; located in the mall Central Grand Rama IX 7th floor; Blue fin tuna carving shows at specific times; recommend reservations

- Kub Kao' Kub Pla
Located in major shopping malls, a home-style Thai comfort food and local seafood in modern, stylish settings

- Yawarat / Talat Noi
Both areas have plentiful restaurants and cafes. More into Thai/Chinese foods

- Hong Sieng Kong
Cafe/resturant vibes in Talat Noi with antiques overlooking the Chao Phraya River

DRANKS!

There's too many to list but these places definitely made an impact; Most spots I highly recommend reservations:

- Akara Sky Hanuman Bangkok
Rooftop bar with scheduled dances/shows. Recommend going during sunset

- Sky Beach Rooftop Bar
Located with the Standard Hotel in Mahanakorn tower, it's the highest bar in Bangkok

- Ojo Bangkok
In Mahanakorn Tower with a Mexican twist; included in the Mahanakorn Bar Crawl

- Tribe Sky Beach Club
Daytime drinks in a pool? No problem. Located in Empshere mall, opens 11am; it has an infinity pool, cabanas, craft drinks, and live DJs

- Sky Bar at LeBua State Tower
Iconic scene in the movie The Hangover Part II

- Teens of Thailand
Small hidden gem in Chinatown has amazing craft cocktails; within walking distance to other local bars

- Sin Rooftop Bar & Nobu Rooftop Bar
Never been but heard it was a blast!

ACTIVITIES

- Chatchuchak Weekend Market
Recommend going on a weekend; anything you can think of, they have; outdoor shopping & food for miles; sells everything from tourist gifts to antiques

- Mahanakorn Bar Crawl
Get your "passport" stamped as you drink your way up at multiple bars in the pixelated building

-Thai Massage
Plentiful all over on every street; we can show you the locations we go to once in Bangkok
(5-10 minute walk from hotel)
Just be careful it's really a massage spa haha

- Yaowarat Road
Thailand's Chinatown
Beautiful late night with the neon lights

- Talat Noi
Hidden gem near Chinatown; unique cafes and foods; some cafes are along the Chao Phraya River

- Jodd Fairs
Outdoor evening market filled with things to buy/eat

- Major Cineplex
Icon Siam or Siam Paragon areas
High-end VIP and lux cinema experience where you can reserve private VIP lounges,
welcome snacks/drinks; some theaters have beds

- Muay Thai Stadium: Rajadamnern
Watch Muay Thai fights 7 nights a week: link below; There are also multiple stadiums across the country,
including Krabi (35 minutes from KBV airport)

- Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
& Maeklong Train Market
Get inches away from a live train and sail in a long tail boat while eating mango stick rice. Recommend doing this together in 1 day in the morning and on a weekend; overly hipped but good to check off the bucket list

MALLS

Malls here are not like the ones in the states. They each offer abundance restaurants, cafes, activities, and shopping experiences.
OneSiam Visitor Card: apply this card to selected malls and get tourist promotions. (Link Below)

- Icon Siam
Floating market in basement; Luxury shopping; near Chao Phraya River; near the pier that departs for luxury buffet dinner cruises

- Emsphere
14 minute walk from Adelphi Grande; outdoor pool bar on the 5th floor; ultimate shopping experience you can spend all day

- Central World
30 minute BTS from Adelphi Grande; Local spot; one of the largest malls in Thailand

- The Platinum
6 floors wholesale fashion clothes and accessories; Be careful with pick-pocket!

- Siam Paragon
Luxury Shopping & Restaurants

TEMPLES

These temples are close enough you can do in 1 day but CAN GET HOT! Each temple has a small entrance fee.
Dress code: Shoulders and knees must be covered. Wear loose pants/skirts and shirts with sleeves, or bring a scarf to wrap around yourself. Slip-on shoes are ideal, as you will need to remove them to enter the main halls. Make sure to hydrate and bring fans.

- Wat Pho
Largest reclining Buddha
*Fun Scavenger Hunt - Find the guy picking his nose (pic above) on the temple wall near the Buddha's Feet :)

- Wat Arun
Beautiful during sunset & at night on the
Chao Phraya River
You can get dressed up in thai traditional attire and get professional photography

- The Grand Palace / Wat Phra Kaew
Emerald Buddha
